Please Take Necessary Typhoon Precautions
=========================================

According to the forecast of the HK Weather Observatory, it is very likely
that Typhoon Signal no.3 will be hoisted later in the afternoon on 23
September 2008.  For the sake of your safety, please take the following
precautions AT ONCE:

1.   Fasten all loose items properly or move them inside apartment /
    hall / room area.

2.   Close all windows properly.

3.   Pay attention to TV or radio broadcasts of weather forecasts.

4.   Newcomers to Hong Kong are reminded that during Typhoon Signal No.8,
    the supermarket on campus will be closed and the cafeteria will only
    provide very limited catering service.  Also, most transportation
    will cease to operate. It is advisable to stock       sufficient food
    items in your room and to make advance arrangement for transport if
    you must go out during the storm.

5.   Whenever typhoon signal is hoisted, the seafront area will be closed
    to general access to ensure public safety.
